 In August 2008, a couple of weeks before the opening of the XXIX Olympiad,
Johnnie traveled to Beijing at the invitation of the Beijing Olympic Organizing
Committee's Media Centre to interact behind the scenes with some prominent Beijing officials who were working to coordinate the Beijing 2008 Olympics. It was part of China's continuing effort to

The world rallied to help the citizens of China after the May 12, 2008
earthquake. The Sichuan Earthquake Relief Fund event was held in
San Francisco Chinatown's historic Portsmouth Square. It was a
huge success.
On April 19, 2008, the Olympic torch relay went through San Francisco, California.
Take a look at the energy and enthusiasm the Chinese contingent
and the Bay Area Chinese community brought to that event.
